Privacy Policy
This website, antfie.com, is a personal site operated by Anthony Fielding (“I”, “me”, “my”). This policy explains what personal information I collect when you use this website, how I use it, and the rights you have over it. I am the data controller for the information described here.
Information I collect
I keep the information I collect to a minimum.
When you submit the contact form, I collect the name, company, email address, and message you provide, so that I can respond to you.
When you visit the site, the hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used to operate and secure the site.
I use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool, self-hosted on my own infrastructure, to understand how the site is used in aggregate. It does not track you across other websites, does not build a profile of you, and the data is not shared with any third-party analytics service.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The analytics are cookieless, and the anti-spam protection on the contact form works using a proof-of-work challenge rather than by tracking you. See the Cookie Policy for more.
How I use your information
- to respond to messages you send me
- to operate, maintain, and secure the website
- to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used
My lawful basis for handling your message is my legitimate interest in responding to you. My lawful basis for security and aggregate analytics is my legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and understanding how it is used.
Sharing your information
I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with the service providers that help me run the website and respond to messages (such as email and messaging tools), and only to the extent needed. When you load the site, some resources such as web fonts are served by third parties, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering them. I may also disclose information where required to do so by law.
How long I keep it
I keep message correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting. Aggregate analytics do not identify you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information I hold about you, to ask me to correct or erase it, to object to or restrict how I use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please get in touch using the contact form on this website.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how I handle your information, please contact me first so I can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page.
